For a useful FACEIT ping test on Superonline Fiber, select your preferred EU server locations before queueing, then record the location you actually get. Play on Ethernet with downloads paused, watch ping and network warnings for several minutes, and repeat on the same location at a similar hour. If only you have high ping, run FACEIT's linked Hiperz latency test. If everyone spikes together, the team captain should contact live support from the match page.
Before the test: choose the FACEIT locations you can use
Open FACEIT's server selection before you queue and leave the closest practical EU locations selected. FACEIT currently requires at least four locations. Its matcher tries to use your choices, but may place you elsewhere when the queue cannot form a balanced match quickly enough.
That distinction matters for a ping test. France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK do not share one route from Turkey. Write down the location shown in the match room after the server vote. Your preference is the plan; the location you actually join is the test target.
Do not compare a German server in one match with a Dutch server in the next and call the difference a Superonline result.
How to run a repeatable FACEIT ping test
Connect the Windows PC to the router with Ethernet. Pause Steam downloads, cloud backups, streams and large uploads on the rest of the household network. Turn on CS2's ping and network-quality telemetry before the match starts, then note the FACEIT server location and start time.
Watch a normal stretch of play for at least five minutes. Record the usual ping range, the largest repeated spikes and any packet-loss or network-degradation warning. A screenshot of the scoreboard and telemetry is more useful than remembering the single lowest number after the match.
Repeat the test on the same location at a similar hour. If you are comparing the normal route with another route, change only the route. Keep the PC, Ethernet connection, server location and household traffic as similar as possible.

Read the result: you, the server, or the route?
Ask whether other players see the problem at the same moment. FACEIT's official guidance separates a single-player problem from a server-wide one. When everyone has high ping or loss, the team captain can contact live support through the Match Page and request help with the server.
When only you are affected, start with your own connection and the path to that server. A problem that disappears over Ethernet points toward Wi-Fi. Spikes that arrive only while someone uploads or streams point toward congestion at home. A stable problem limited to one server location makes the external route or that data centre more plausible.

- Only you, on one FACEIT location: compare that location again at the same hour.
- Everyone spikes together: use live support from the Match Page.
- Official matchmaking is fine but FACEIT is not: compare the server locations before blaming the PC.
Use the Hiperz latency test when only you are affected
FACEIT directs a player with individual high ping or loss to its server provider's Hiperz latency test. Open the link from FACEIT's CS2 server lag article, select the relevant region or location, run the test while the problem is reproducible and save the result for support.
Run it once on Ethernet with the connection idle, then repeat during the hour when the problem normally appears. The comparison can show whether delay or loss begins consistently along the path. It cannot recreate the exact match by itself, so keep the match-room link, date, time and server location with the result.
Do not paste a random FACEIT server address into public tools or share connection details publicly. Use the official support path and send diagnostic results only where FACEIT or its server provider requests them.
A support result is strongest when it includes the match link, server location, exact time and a wired Hiperz test from the same period.
Why a 1000 Mbps speed test does not settle FACEIT ping
Superonline Fiber plan speed measures bandwidth, or how much data the connection can carry at once. FACEIT ping measures round-trip delay to one specific server. A fast plan can leave plenty of room for downloads and still take an indirect or congested path to a game server.
Read the network indicators separately. Ping is the round-trip time. Jitter is how much that time varies. Packet loss means some data never arrives. The route is the sequence of networks between your home and the server. A 45 ms connection with small variation can feel steadier than a connection that swings repeatedly between 30 and 90 ms.
Use a general speed test only as a health check. It can reveal a broken local connection or saturated upload, but a nearby speed-test server does not prove that the route to a FACEIT server in another country is healthy.
- Mbps: how much data can move at once.
- Ping: how long a round trip takes.
- Jitter: how much the delay changes.
- Packet loss: data that does not reach the destination.
- Route: the networks the traffic crosses to reach the server.
When is Superonline or the external route more likely?
The provider or external route becomes more plausible when the problem survives Ethernet, the home connection is idle, several tests show the same pattern and the affected FACEIT location is recorded. A result that gets worse only during evening hours may indicate congestion, but it still needs repeated tests before you can place the cause.
Collect the smallest useful evidence set before contacting Superonline: wired results, dates and times, affected FACEIT locations, Hiperz output and whether other devices or games show the same symptom. This gives support something specific to investigate instead of a general claim that gaming feels slow.
Changing providers is a later decision. Results from another wired connection in the same building are stronger evidence than an advertised maximum speed. A Wi-Fi-only problem, one bad match or one distant server is not enough to predict how another provider will perform.
When should you compare another route?
An alternate-route test makes sense after the free checks pass and the symptom still follows the normal path to a repeatable FACEIT location. Measure the normal and alternate paths during the same session. Compare the usual ping range, spikes and loss rather than choosing whichever run contains the lowest single number.
